Compost Activator
Our compost activator uses the powerful waste digesting properties of selected thermophillic and mesophyllic microbes to speed up the composting process, making for shorter compost turnaround time. The Activator will generate high heat (up to 170F) which inactivates weed seeds, human and animal pathogens, and viruses. It accelerates the degradation of cellulose and lignin from plant materials, prevents foul odors, and is effective under a wide range of temperature and pH conditions. Rate: one pound of Activator for every 2 cubic yards of compost, reapply at 1/4 rate at turning time.

Sometimes, in our eagerness to get our gardens planted, we've been guilty of not properly preparing the soil. When you've got 20 fat-caned new rosebushes just quivering to grow, it's kind of hard to keep them soaking an extra day or two while you double-dig a bed and add the necessary amendments.
