Like other fertilizers, Rose Wizard products supply all of the three macro-nutrients- nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium- that all plants need to grow. But roses need these elements in different dosages at different times during the season. Rose Wizard is the first rose fertilizing program designed to provide these elements in the optimum amounts, in both chemical and organic form, and at the proper time during the growing season.

Additionally, Rose Wizard products also contain all of the micro-nutrients, or trace elements, that are vital for rose plants to produce sturdy canes, tough, green foliage, substantive flowers, and vibrant color.

The Rose Wizard Fertilizers are all easy-to-use liquids that are applied at the roots of the plants as a soil drench manually with a bucket, with a brass siphon mixer, or with a fertilizer injector.

The Rose Wizard Fertilization Program

Week 1 - Immediately after spring pruning use Rose Wizard Early Season 8-8-8, and on a different day this week, apply Rose Wizard Liquid Magnesium Sulfate. Spray all parts of the pruned plants, including the bud union, daily with Rose Wizard UltraBoost.

Week 2 - Rose Wizard Early Season 8-8-8, and on a different day this week, use Rose Wizard Liquid Calcium. Spray new growth daily with Rose Wizard UltraBoost.

Week 3 - Rose Wizard Early Season 8-8-8. Spray new growing tips daily with UltraBoost.

Week 4 - Begin your mid-season weekly regimen with Rose Wizard 8-20-1. Use Rose Wizard Liquid Magnesium Sulfate once each month, and Rose Wizard Liquid Calcium twice each month.
Stop fertilizing a month before the first frost is expected. After the first frost, apply Rose Wizard Late Season 1-0-23 weekly for three weeks. In warm climates, apply Rose Wizard Late Season 1-0-23 weekly for three weeks beginning six weeks before spring pruning.

Twelve miniature roses of the variety 'Absolutely' were planted in each tub on April 20.

The tub on the left received Rose Wizard fertilizers, the middle tub received Miracle Gro, in an equal number of applications. The tub on the left received no fertilizer at all. Other than fertilizer, all plants were treated equally. At season's end the Rose Wizard plants were larger, more flowerful, and the foliage vibrant and disease free.

For Rose Wizard Fertilizers to work properly, garden soil should be well-drained and should have a pH (acidity/alkalinity) between 5.8 and 6.3. Correct soil pH is vital to rose plant growth and can be easily measured at home with inexpensive pH testing tape. Roses need frequent watering, but not soggy conditions. Soil should be moist at all times. Water conservation can be achieved by mulching rose plants and/or by incorporating a soil polymer into the planting hole. Roses may need to be kept insect- and disease-free by spraying chemical or organic pesticides. Of course, Rose Wizard Fertilizers can be used on other ornamentals with great results! Rose Wizard (TM) 8-8-8 Early Season

Used immediately after spring pruning, Early Season 8-8-8 gets roses off to a well-balanced start. Equal percentages of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash (N-P-K) encourage rapid foliage production, early budset, and strong stems. A wide spectrum of micro-elements and a special blend of natural plant hormones make foliage larger, greener, tougher, and more disease resistant. Early Season 8-8-8 promotes fast root growth that can amply support large collateral canes and strong new basal canes. It encourages early budset, allowing the buds a longer time to develop before opening, resulting in larger flowers. Delivered in an easy-to-use liquid form, Early Season 8-8-8 easily penetrates soil for fast fertilizer uptake. Dosage: One tablespoon per gallon of water. Apply two gallons of mixed fertilizer at the roots of each plant. Use weekly for three weeks beginning immediately after spring pruning.

Rose Wizard (TM) 8-20-1 Mid-Season

A summer fertilizer with amazing qualities, Mid-Season 8-20-1 is used after budset but before first bloom, and then each week throughout the summer. This fertilizer keeps new foliage growing strongly while directing most of the plant's energy to growing strong new stems and extraordinarily large flowers that have vibrant color and substantive petals. A complex formula containing both chemical and organic elements and natural plant hormones, Mid-Season 8-20-1 not only maximizes flower size, but increases flower production as well. Properly pruned and deadheaded, your roses should never be without bloom and lots of new growth. Mid-Season 8-20-1 is an easy-to-use liquid that is easily and rapidly used by the plants. It increases the plants' resistance to rose diseases and environmental stresses. Dosage: One tablespoon per gallon of water. Apply two gallons of mixed fertilizer at the roots of each plant. Rose Wizard (TM) 1-0-23 Late Season

This high-potassium formula helps roses harden off before winter. Late Season 1-0-23 is used weekly, beginning the week following the season's last application of growth fertilizer-- about a month before the first frost. It enhances the plants' natural hardening-off process by encouraging cell walls to thicken, reducing cell turgidity, and increasing resistance to low temperatures and cold, dry winter winds. It helps slow tender new growth that would be killed by frost, and helps plants resist springing into a growth stage during unusually warm fall and winter days. In warm climates, Late Season 1-0-23 is applied weekly, beginning about 6 weeks before spring pruning. It helps induce the dormancy period roses require before they begin the new season's foliage and flower production. Dosage: Four tablespoons per gallon of water. Rose Wizard (TM) Liquid Magnesium Sulfate

Epsom Salts has been used by rosarians for many years to improve their rose bushes. Now, that simple, but essential product is available in a liquid form. Easily applied with a bucket, a brass siphon mixer, or a fertilizer feeder, Rose Wizard Liquid Magnesium Sufate aids the photosynthetic process, and is essential for chlorophyll production. It enhances phosphorus uptake, making fertilizer more effective, and "greens up" foliage. Most important of all, Magnesium Sulfate encourages strong new canes to sprout from the base of the plant. These new canes are the future of rosebushes, ensuring continuing growth and plant longevity. Rose Wizard (TM) Liquid Calcium

Calcium is an extremely important element for plants. It maintains cell integrity and membrane permeability, allowing the elements in fertilizer to enter the plant's vascular system. Calcium is a difficult element for plants to break down and use, but unlike other calcium products, Rose Wizard Liquid Calcium is completely soluble and available to the plants immediately. Equally as important, Liquid Calcium cleanses soil, breaking down accumulated salts, and making other nutrients more available to the plants. Rose Wizard Liquid Calcium improves soil structure and water penetration. Dosage: 4 tablespoons per gallon of water, apply two gallons per plant twice a month during the growing season.

This blend of proprietary plant hormones and nutrients combines to make a rose cocktail that dramatically improves root growth and plant growth rate. It stimulates basal and bud break, increases plant vigor, and helps plants recover from environmental or chemical stresses. Rose Wizard (TM) UltraBoost

UltraBoost(TM) is the first methanol-based plant growth stimulant for home garden use. Now with triacontanol, a natural plant growth stimulant, UltraBoost(TM) speeds the process of photosynthesis, speeds fertilizer intake and uptake, and makes plants grow stronger and healthier, with a new vitality. New growth is often visible overnight! UltraBoost(TM) is safe for use on all plants, both indoors and out. The nutrients in the formula are absorbed quickly by the plant through its leaves and stems. Plants are then able to make better use of the available light, resulting in greener, stronger foliage, and reducing "legginess" in low-light situations.
